Program(s) Available: B.S.Ed.
Are you fascinated with how the world works? Do you find yourself interested in learning about the atmosphere, water systems or general makeup of our planet? If so, you may enjoy the earth science education major!
You may be wondering what makes our program different from other schools. Northwest students get hands-on learning experiences from day one! Not only will you gain a solid understanding of earth science, but you'll graduate with at least 555 hours of profession-based internships or teaching practicums. Cool, right? There is a reason they call us the "teacher school."
We make sure education students have the tools and knowledge they need to teach the future leaders of tomorrow. Whether it be through practicum or student teaching experiences, you'll be well-equipped for your future career. Even better? This major, when completed under the B.S.Ed. Secondary Program meets Missouri teacher certification standards for Earth Science grades 9-12!
