Program(s) Available: B.S., Minor
Are you creative and analytical? Strategic advertising majors learn how to be empathetic individuals, strong communicators and active listeners. If you like hearing new ideas and researching target audiences, a major in strategic advertising may be right for you.
Northwest's strategic advertising major explores the business side of advertising. Students learn how to create and sell advertisements designed to reach a target audience. Courses offer students a solid foundation in marketing, management and consumer behavior. Faculty ensure students are skilled in writing, designing, communicating and planning.
When students graduate, they'll be skilled enough to work in marketing and advertising departments for large brands and media companies. Students will hone business and marketing skills while learning how to plan, buy and create advertisements.
A Bachelor of Science in strategic advertising is available at Northwest. View the 4-year plan or catalog for courses and more information.
Many students choose to round out their portfolios by adding a minor in advertising. This allows students to pursue their specific interests while specializing in advertising. For example, agriculture majors who minor in advertising would be qualified to work in the marketing or advertising departments of large agricultural firms.

“I would not be the person I am today without the Northwest family. The reassurance that I can do it and I can make it, it's something that speaks volumes. ” — Sydnee Arnold
